Its a sad story - too much land, too little interest in cities - and the real estate craze just hasn't breached our boarders. And good thing! We ain't like them sissy states Florida and Hawaii, we create our own equity and get tough on mortgage payments:

• we keep a steady hand on 'em monthly payments, and we build up our equity slow like
• we think twice about what we use our home equity loans for - home improvements, cattle investments, oil, anything that is guaranteed to turn a profit or increase the value of our structure.

You see, appreciation rates are more a measure of land value than your actual home, so our home equity loans are more stable and hard, a measure of what we put in rather a gift-horse from big brother.

Kick 'im in the teeth

Don't take no chances with Texas home equity loans - we just ain't got that luxury. And who needs it? Home equity financing is all speculation, and I don't trust no yankee judgin' the value of my land.
